Jakarta, VIVA – Anindya Bakrie, Chairman of Kadin Indonesia, hopes Kadin can continue working with the Ministry of Housing and Settlements to support the government's 3 million houses program.
He shared this after attending the launch of a project to renovate 500 houses, together with Housing Minister Maruarar Sirait, the Buddha Tzu Chi Foundation, and Kadin Indonesia. The event was held in Tanah Tinggi, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta.

"This is something we're proud of, and we want to do even more. It’s sad that while we are active in Jakarta, many of our neighbors still live in poor conditions," Bakrie said on Tuesday (Apr 15).
He explained that of the 500 houses renovated, 200 are in Jakarta, and the rest are in West Java, Banten, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), and Bangka Belitung.
He said this project is part of Kadin’s four “quick wins” to be completed before August 17, 2025.
"The first is housing renovation, the second is Free Nutritious Meals (MBG), the third is Free Health Checkups (PKG), and the fourth is helping migrant workers," he stated.
Bakrie stressed that Kadin is committed to supporting government programs, not just in trade and investment, but also in improving housing and driving industrial growth.
He added that these programs also help empower Kadin members across Indonesia to join the efforts in their own regions.
"Many of our members work in housing construction, so in places like Babel and NTT, they can help build homes and boost the local economy," the Kadin chairman concluded.
