Jakarta, VIVA – In today’s competitive landscape, a positive workplace culture has become a key factor not only in attracting talent but also in retaining employees and fostering long-term growth.

Recognizing this, Cinépolis Cinemas Indonesia has earned the Great Place To Work® Certification for 2025, becoming the first company in Indonesia's entertainment sector to receive the distinction. The certification is based entirely on direct feedback from employees about their workplace experience.

The assessment involved employees across 56 cinema locations and the company’s headquarters, evaluating aspects such as credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.

The survey results highlighted strong levels of satisfaction among staff. An impressive 93% of respondents said they felt welcomed when joining the company, exceeding the industry average of 82%.

Furthermore, 90% agreed that management communicates important issues effectively, while an equal percentage reported feeling proud of their accomplishments.

Alejandro Aguilera Garibay, CEO of Cinépolis Cinemas Indonesia, acknowledged the role of employees in achieving this milestone.

“Since coming to Indonesia, I’ve seen how our teams drive meaningful change every day. This certification reflects the dedication and culture they have built,” he said.

The company has implemented a variety of initiatives aimed at supporting employee growth and maintaining an inclusive environment.

These include structured onboarding programs, continuous on-site training, transparent communication through regular updates, and cross-functional collaboration. Regular recognition and engagement activities further strengthen team cohesion across locations.

Hendy Purwanto Budiana, Head of HR, emphasized the company’s ongoing efforts, stating, “This certification reaffirms our commitment to fostering a collaborative and empowering work environment where employees are supported and recognized.”
