Investing in Early Childhood Development: A Vital Step Toward a Stronger Future

Jakarta, VIVA – Early childhood development plays a crucial role in shaping a child's cognitive, emotional, and social foundation. The period from birth to age six is widely recognized as a critical window for brain development and lifelong learning.

In response to this need, Raffles Christian School has opened a new campus dedicated to early childhood education at Branz Simatupang Apartment, Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta. The grand opening, held on Saturday, 19 July 2025, marks the school’s latest step in its mission to provide meaningful learning experiences for children aged 2 to 6.

The new Preprimary campus will serve students from Nursery 1 to Kindergarten 2, with a focus on age-appropriate, child-centered learning. Each classroom and facility has been carefully designed to support early development and foster curiosity.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Manivasugen, Corporate Marketing representative of Raffles Group of Schools, expressed the school’s vision. “This new campus reflects our commitment to providing a safe, inspiring, and joyful learning environment where young children can begin their educational journey with confidence,” he said.

The celebration began with performances by K2 and Lower Primary students, setting an energetic tone for the day. A ribbon-cutting ceremony and traditional tumpeng slicing followed, symbolizing the formal launch of the campus.

Key figures from Raffles Group of Schools and Tokyuland Indonesia were present to officiate the event. Their collaboration was central to the realization of this new educational facility.

Guests were invited to explore the campus through guided tours showcasing the learning spaces and child-friendly designs. Attendees also enjoyed refreshments while interacting with educators and staff.

The day concluded with cultural performances at the Ennichi Festival, featuring a traditional Japanese dance and cheerleading by Raffles students. These activities highlighted the school’s emphasis on creativity, cultural appreciation, and student confidence.
