VIVA – Nasida Ria is a kasidah group from Semarang, Indonesia who managed to look stunning in Germany. One of the performers at the “Opening Week Music Program Documenta Fifteen” in Kassel, Germany on Saturday, June 18, 2022. They sang several songs including Dunia in News, Peace, When a Nuclear Bomb was Detonated, City of Santri, and others.

The appearance of Nasida Ria's qasidah group was also in the spotlight and attracted the attention of foreign and domestic people. Nasida Ria is a modern kasidah band from Indonesia. This kasidah group was formed in 1975 in Semarang, Central Java.

Nasida Ria was formed by Mudrikah Zain, an Al-Quran teacher in Semarang, and has produced 34 albums and composed more than 400 songs. Zain gathered nine students to become Nasida Ria's personnel, namely Mudrikah Zain, Mutoharoh, Rien Jammain, Umi Kholifah, Musyarofah, Nunung, Alfiyah, Kudriyah, and Nur Ain.

Nasida Ria is known as the oldest modern kasidah group in Indonesia. Initially this group only used the tambourine as a musical instrument. Nasida Ria's group started their career by launching their debut album, Alabaladil Makabul. Their songs are about da'wah and draw inspiration from Arabic music.

Their early debut used Arabic in the lyrics of his songs. After receiving advice from Kiai Buchori Masruri, Nasida Ria finally performed Indonesian songs. The song appears on the fourth album.

Their songs are also widely known by the public, some of which are Peace, Newlyweds, Year 2000, and the White Hijab.

Then Nasida Ria's kasidah group began to receive offers to perform overseas, including performing in Malaysia to celebrate the Islamic New Year on 1 Muharram in 1988. They performed in front of the king, Yang Dipertuan Agung Malaysia.

They had also been to Germany before. At that time, Nasida Ria played at the Die Garten des Islam (Islamic Culture Exhibition) by Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin, Germany. Then they returned to the country in July 1996.
