Indian Delegation Prioritizes Cyber Security in G20 Summit DEWG

VIVA – At the Digital Economy Working Group (DEWG) meeting in Bali, the Indian delegation considered this meeting very significant in the digital security ecosystem in India. It is known that there were three issues discussed at the G20 Summit DEWG meeting on August 30, 2022.

Three priority issues were discussed at this meeting, such as digital connectivity and recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic, digital literacy and digital skills, and the flow of data across national borders.

Representing India, Under Secretary Ministry of External Relations, Naman Upadhyaya said, the discussion in Indonesia will be brought to the G20 Presidency for now.

Apart from India, delegates attending the 4th DEWG included Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, European Union, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkiye, United Kingdom, and the United States. While Argentina is present virtually.
