VIVA – The Bali Provincial Tourism Office issues a guidebook regarding what foreign tourists do and do not while in Bali. This is based on consideration of the many violations committed by foreign tourists.

Moreover, the foreigners admitted that they did not know the rules in Bali. Therefore, they do many offenses.

Previously, this condition never happened. However, the euphoria of foreign tourists visit in Bali after the COVID-19 pandemic seemed to trigger the violations that happened.

In addition, the attitude of tourists also imitates the behavior of many local residents who are not orderly.

Meanwhile, member of Commission II Indonesian House Representative, Anak Agung Bagus Adhi Mahendra Putra agreed with certain rules for tourists both foreign and domestic. He also said, the rules are to maintain the cultural of Bali.

Putra continued that the violations that occurred were not entirely the fault of foreign tourists who had many bad behavior assessments.

"We can't just blame the tourists. They also imitate the behavior of our citizens who are not orderly, for example, they don't want to wear helmets," he remarked.

He also emphasized that the government needs to make a breakthrough that requires foreign tourists to legalize the statement letter given by the Indonesian government.

"For example, when landing in Bali, they are given a kind of statement letter regarding what can and cannot be done, including sanctions if they violate. That way, they will think about violating," he explained.

Previously, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, and Bali also put up appeals in the form of billboards on a number of roads and tourist destinations. Billboards that use two languages: Russian and English
