G7 Summit: President Jokowi Emphasizes Revolution to Stop War

VIVA – The Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) emphasized to all the leaders of countries to make a great revolution, so the war can be stop, also be avoided. It aims to create the world more peaceful.Â
This was stated by the President in delivering his point of view at the ninth session of the G7 Summit with the topic of a Peaceful, Stable, and Prosperous World. This session was held at the Grand Prince Hotel, in Hiroshima, Japan, on Sunday.Â
"As leaders, we must have the courage and willingness to make a big revolution. This aims to bring change and improvement so that war can be stopped," The President stated in a official statement.Â

The Head of State said that war will ultimately only sacrifice the people. He said all parties want a peaceful, stable, and prosperous world, but the current situation is not in line with this.
"Distrust is getting thicker, competition is getting tougher, war and conflict are still happening everywhere," he emphasized.Â
In addition, during various world crises that are increasingly worrying, President Widodo sees that joint efforts made to resolve the war have not shown significant progress.
In his closing statement, President Jokowi emphasized that peace, stability, and prosperity are shared responsibilities and goals. Therefore, he invited world leaders to make the change, "Let us make something new and change together."Â
