Indonesia Becomes World Spotlight After G20 Bali Summit, Bakrie Says

Jakarta – President Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bakrie & Brothers (BNBR), Anindya Novyan Bakrie said Indonesia's success in organized G20 Bali Summit was in the world spotlight. 

"This achievement follows other successes, such as Indonesia being the only country in Southeast Asia to become a member of the G20," Anindya Bakrie said as a speaker at the ASEAN 2023 Summit in Hong Kong, on Monday. 

Bakrie said he was proud of Indonesia's success in organizing the G20 in 2022, "This can bring Indonesia to a central role in the eyes of other countries and into the world spotlight," 

"So, we are proud to have done a pretty good job last year, in my opinion,"

In addition, Indonesia's success in becoming the world's spotlight can be seen from Indonesia's role in the 2023 ASEAN chairmanship. 

"I consider that this is one of Indonesia's contributions in the global economic, political, and sustainability aspects," Bakrie remarked. 

Overall, this shows that Indonesia wants to contribute not only economically, but also politically and on sustainability issues, he continued.
