Minister Indrawati Further Discusses OECD Full Membership Process

Brazil – Indonesian Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati met with the Secretary General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Mathias Cormann and discussed the process of Indonesia to become a full member of the OECD.

The meeting was held in the midst of G20 activities in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

"I met again with Mathias Cormann, Secretary General @the_oecd on the sidelines of the G20 activities in São Paulo. We discussed Indonesia's accession process to become a full member of the OECD and also several other topics related to Indonesia's cooperation with the OECD," the Minister said through her Instagram @smindrawati on Friday.

Minister Indrawati expressed her appreciation for the support of Mathias and all OECD member countries for Indonesia's accession. According to her, this support significant in continuing Indonesia's full membership process.

In addition, this accession is a form of Indonesia's commitment in increasing its role to continue to actively contribute on a global scale in line with the development vision of the Golden Indonesia 2045. 

"I also conveyed input related to pillar 1 and pillar 2 in order to accommodate the creation of a fairer environment and more effective cooperation in implementing the Two Pillar Solution," the Minister stated. 

The Minister revealed that the OECD Economic Survey of Indonesia 2024 will be very helpful in providing an objective and comprehensive analysis of the Indonesian economy. 

"With two main themes, namely digitalization and transition to a green economy," she concluded.
