Indonesia Ready to Host the 2026 International Peace Conference

Jakarta – Indonesia is ready to host the International Peace Conference in 2026. To advocate and realize this, the International Business Association (IBA) has partnered with the Buddha Dharma Kepri Education Foundation (YPBDK).
Both the IBA and YPBDK will also attend the international peace conference at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France, on October 21-23, 2024.
IBA Chairman, Shan Shan, stated that their organization, along with YPBDK under Jin Gang Shan, has been actively collaborating with the Indonesian government's policies across various fields.

According to him, the IBA is also actively participating in cultural, educational, community welfare, industrial, and trade activities, as well as promoting businesses domestically and internationally.
IBA is also involved in international initiatives, facilitating resource introduction for Indonesia's social development.
"We also maintain good relations with important international organizations, such as the Islamic economic community in Indonesia," said Shan Shan in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He mentioned that YPBDK has also received an invitation from the President of the World Fellowship of Buddhists (WFB) to participate in UNESCO's activities.
They will attend the international peace conference at UNESCO headquarters in Paris on October 21-23, 2024.
Shan Shan explained that during this occasion, they will discuss Indonesia's readiness to host the international peace conference in 2026.
Furthermore, details of participation in the International Peace Conference will be discussed during the WFB President's visit to Batam, Riau Islands, on March 12, 2024.
"Batam is being considered as the conference location in 2026 due to its strategic proximity to Singapore. The final decision will be announced after the meeting," Shan Shan remarked.
He stated that they would seize the opportunity to introduce plans for the development of a convention and exhibition center for the 38 provinces in Galang Batang, 30 kilometers from Bintan Island.
He mentioned that eleven regencies and cities have already signed cooperation agreements, and more than 50 regencies and cities have expressed their willingness to join the project.
