BMW Connected Drive Launched in Indonesia: Everything Owners Need to Know

Jakarta – BMW Indonesia was introducing advanced technology that will be embedded in several of its product lines. The technology is called BMW Connected Drive, which makes it easier for owners to stay connected to their vehicle through smartphone.

Jodie O'tania as Director of Communications BMW Group Indonesia revealed that BMW always wants to present something new to embed in its vehicle line in line with increasingly fast technological development.

"We see that the digital world is currently developing, we want BMW cars to always be up to date with the latest technology. Therefore, we were introducing BMW Connected Drive," she said in Jakarta.

She further said that BMW Connected Drive technology will only be installed in the latest BMW cars launched in 2024, such as the latest BMW 3 Series, BMW 330i M Sport Pro and BMW 320i M Sport.

"Later, the owners can control the vehicle remotely, such as starting the car, opening and locking the doors, adjusting the cabin temperature before entering the vehicle, users can even search for the car's location (Vehicle Finder) ," O'Tania informed.

Vehicle owners with BMW Connected Drive technology can also find out the distance traveled after driving, car service time, remaining fuel, and so on.

As information, the MyBMW application was completely developed by BMW using Flutter, Google's user interface development kit for the Dart programming language.
