China's DeepSeek AI Outshines ChatGPT in Efficiency and Cost-Effectiveness

Jakarta, VIVA – DeepSeek is an open-source artificial intelligence (AI) developed in China. It has been gaining global attention due to its efficiency and cost-effectiveness, which many consider superior to ChatGPT.

This AI was created by Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence Co., Ltd., founded by Liang Wenfeng in May 2023.

With its advanced technology, DeepSeek offers a language model claimed to be on par with GPT-4 but with significantly lower operational costs.

The model has been trained on 14.8 trillion high-quality tokens, enabling it to understand a wide range of topics comprehensively.

According to Reuters, DeepSeek researchers have successfully compressed the model’s capabilities into a version as small as 1.5 billion parameters.

Users can try DeepSeek through two main options: via the web or through the mobile app.

Accessing DeepSeek via Web:
• Open a browser on your device
• Visit deepseek.com
• Click "Start Now"
• Select "Sign Up" to create an account
• Enter a valid email address. Create and confirm a password
• Click "Send Code" to receive a verification code via email
• Enter the verification code you received
• Agree to the terms and conditions, then click "Sign Up"
• Type your query into the chat box and press "Send"
• Wait for DeepSeek AI to generate a response

Besides the web version, users can also download the DeepSeek app from Google Play Store (Android) and App Store (iOS) for a more convenient experience.
