Over 74,000 Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims Have Returned Home

Saudi Arabia, VIVA – The repatriation of Indonesian Hajj pilgrims in 2025 is progressing significantly.

According to data from the Integrated Hajj Information and Computerization System (Siskohat) as of Sunday (June 22) at 9 a.m., a total of 191 flight groups (kloter) have safely arrived back in Indonesia.

The number of pilgrims who have returned from Saudi Arabia now stands at 74,447 people, representing approximately 36.38% of the total regular Hajj pilgrims deployed this year.

The return process is being facilitated through two major international airports in Saudi Arabia — King Abdul Aziz Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammad bin Abdul Aziz Airport in Madinah — using Garuda Indonesia and Saudia Airlines.

The average delay in flight schedules, or On Time Performance (OTP) Variance, is recorded at 11.43 minutes.

While some flights arrived earlier than scheduled, the rest experienced minor delays ranging between 1 to 120 minutes.

The arriving kloter groups have landed at various embarkation points including Jakarta, Solo, Surabaya, Makassar, Lombok, and others.

Upon arrival, pilgrims are greeted by local Hajj officers and directed through the follow-up process in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP).

Meanwhile, the number of Indonesian pilgrims who have passed away as of June 22, 2025, is 361 people.

Of this total, 63.4% were elderly pilgrims, while the remaining were between 41 to 64 years old. Based on gender, 60.1% of the deceased were male, and 39.9% female.

The deaths occurred across various locations including Makkah, Madinah, Arafat, Mina, and even at the airport.

Hajj officials on the ground have ensured that maximum medical care was provided to pilgrims during the pilgrimage.

For those who passed away, the funeral and burial process was carried out in accordance with Islamic guidelines and reported promptly to their families in Indonesia.
