KAI Launches Promo Fares for Whoosh during School Holidays

Jakarta, VIVA – KAI Group, through PT KCIC, is launching special promotional fares for the Whoosh high-speed train, offering discounts between 20% and 50% during the June–July 2025 school holiday period.

Anne Purba, Vice President of Public Relations at PT KAI, stated that this initiative supports the government’s efforts to encourage public mobility, boost domestic tourism, and drive economic growth through fast, safe, and environmentally friendly public transportation.

“With these various Whoosh promo schemes during the school holidays, KAI Group aims to improve public access to modern, world-class transportation,” Purba said on Wednesday (June 11).

Here are the 4 promo schemes for the Whoosh high-speed train during the June–July 2025 school holidays:

1. Group Discount Up to 20%

KAI Group offers a 20% discount for group bookings of at least 20 passengers in Premium Economy Class, ideal for school trips, communities, or extended families.

Bookings can be made via KCIC WhatsApp at 0813-4000-2920, no later than 5 days before departure.

2. Up to 43% Discount with the Frequent Whoosher Card (FWC)

The Frequent Whoosher Card offers a flat fare of Rp 200,000 per trip in Premium Economy—up to 43% cheaper than peak season pricing.
There are two packages:
• Gold: 10 trips in 60 days
• Silver: 6 trips in 30 days

The cards can be purchased at all Whoosh station ticket counters.

3. Up to 50% Educational Discount via the “Whoosh Edutrip” Program

Through the Whoosh Edutrip program, school groups from elementary to high school levels with at least 20 students can receive up to 50% off.

The goal is to promote educational and fun out-of-class learning during the school break.

4. Flexible Fare Starting at IDR 225,000 for Jakarta–Bandung Route

KCIC implements dynamic pricing in Premium Economy, with fares starting at IDR 225,000.

Prices vary depending on booking time, seat availability, and travel date, offering more flexibility for passengers planning their holiday trips.

She also emphasized that KAI Group will continue integrating its services—from long-distance trains, Commuter Line, LRT Jabodebek, and LRT South Sumatra, to Whoosh, which represents Indonesia’s new face of high-speed rail.

“This promo is more than just a fare discount. It’s part of KAI Group’s active contribution to boosting national mobility, expanding inter-regional connectivity, and supporting economic growth through modern transportation,” Purba concluded.
