VIVA – Many people realize that water life and the existence of the sea are very important because they are in harmony with human life.
Bottom of the sea is a place full of secrets and unsolved mysteries because around 70% of the surface of the planet earth is covered by water and according to the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, only 1% of the ocean has been explored. The rest or 99% is still untouched.
Here are 5 scariest things found at the bottom of ocean:
1. The Greek Shipwreck Antikythera
The Antikythera shipwreck dates from the Roman era to the second quarter of the first century BC. His body was discovered by divers at Point Glyphadia, Greece in 1900.
The wreck contains statues, coins and other artifacts from the fourth century BC. Even the remains of a rusty device considered to be the world's oldest analog computer are also on the wreck of the Antikythera. These objects have been put on display at the National Archaeological Museum of Athens, Greece.
2. The Enypniastes, Headless Chicken Fish
These sea creatures are actually named enypniastes. Enypniastes got this other name because at first glance it looks like a headless chicken. In addition, enypniastes are also often referred to as sea cucumbers.
Enypniastes have a swimming membrane structure on the front and back of the body that allows them to swim from the surface of the sea floor and travel as far as 1.000 meters.
The unique part of enypniastes is their color and body. Small enypniastes are pink and the large ones are reddish brown. Enypniastes body is semi-transparent so that the intestines can be seen clearly, especially after eating. Enypniastes are relatively small in size, only 11 to 25 cm.
3. Shark Statue on Lake Neuchatel, Switzerland
This shark statue looks creepy because of its sharp teeth, apparently this shark statue was the property used to shoot a short film called Choc au lac in 2007 and was only discovered 10 years later. There is no reason why this 5-meter-long statue was sunk there.
