1. This match will be the eighth meeting between Liverpool and Napoli in a European competition. Napoli led by winning three wins while Liverpool only won twice, and the other two matches ended in a draw.
2. Napoli has traveled to Liverpool headquarters on three previous occasions in European competition. But they never won (D1 L2). Lost 1-3 in the Europa League in November 2010, 0-1 in December 2018, and 1-1 in November 2019 in the Champions League.
