Ticket Price for Whoosh Fast Train Around IDR 250-350 Thousand

Bandung – The Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Monday has announced the ticket price for Jakarta-Bandung fast train (KCJB) or now known as Whoosh would be around IDR 250-350 thousand (US$1.09 to US$22.53). 

"For the ticket price, it will be between IDR 250 thousand to IDR 350 thousand," the Head of State said at the Padalarang KCJB Station, Bandung District, West Java, on Monday.

According to the President, "The most important thing now is the service and mode of transportation of the fast train so that the government's wishes can be realized,"

Moreover, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan stated that the policy of free trial for the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Train (KCJB) is applicable until middle of October of 2023.

"We have agreed that the operation of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Train (KCJB) will still be free until mid-October," 

Minister Pandjaitan explained that over the last three weeks since the opening of the free trial of KCJB for the public, the government has witnessed high levels of enthusiasm among members of the public.

"(The people) immediately can enjoy the benefits of Whoosh fast train. Obviously, everything runs safely and comfortably because the system has been tested, and there is a high level of curiosity from the public," the Minister stated. 

Meanwhile, President Director of Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train, Yoga Bagus Nugraha informed Whoosh is divided into three travel service criteria.

The first is first class on trains 1 and 8 which are equipped with 18 seats, business class with 28 seats, and economy class with 555 seats.
