More than 20 Tourists Killed in Venice Bus Crash

Italy – More than 21 tourists were killed and 18 injured in a fiery bus crash in a borough of Venice, Italy, across the lagoon from its historic center, where firefighters and other emergency responders worked into the night trying to extract bodies from the flames on Tuesday.
According to a Venice official, the bus was carrying foreign tourists when it fell from an elevated street in Mestre en route to a camping site near the community of Marghera.

“The people in the bus found themselves surrounded by flames. The scene we found was terrible. It took about one hour to extract some of the bodies," Mauro Luongo, commander of the Venice firefighters team said.
Meanwhile, Mayor Luigi Brugnaro said that numerous victims were on board. In an apocalyptic scene, there are no words.
Venice prefect Michele Di Bari the local representative of the Interior Minister stated that five Ukrainians and a German were among those dead.
