Turkiye to Follow South Africa's Genocide Case Against Israel

Turkiye – Turkiye will officially apply to be part of South Africa's genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the chairman of the Justice Committee of Turkiye's Grand National Assembly said on Wednesday (May 1).
“After the decision to join (the case) is made by our honorable President, we will submit our formal application after legal work. As we have done up to now, we will continue our efforts with determination to ensure the condemnation of Israel, which has been condemned by the conscience of humanity and also in the eyes of the law," Cuneyt Yuksel said in a written statement.
He said Israel was flagrantly violating the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.

International law must be applied equally to everyone without exception, Yuksel expressed his confidence that the ICJ will act in accordance with this principle.
He said they hoped the world court would uncover the genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes committed by Israel and immediately begin the judicial process.
