Prabowo Ends Job Creation Law Socialization Task Force

Jakarta, VIVA – Indonesian President, Prabowo Subianto, has dissolved the Task Force for the Acceleration of Socialization of the Job Creation Law.
This dissolution is outlined in Presidential Decree Number 32 of 2024 on the Dissolution of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Socialization of the Job Creation Law.
"With this presidential decree, the Task Force for the Acceleration of Socialization of Law Number 11 of 2020 on Job Creation, established by Presidential Decree Number 10 of 2021 on the Task Force for the Acceleration of Socialization of Law Number 11 of 2020 on Job Creation as amended by Presidential Decree Number 16 of 2022 on Amendments to Presidential Decree Number 10 of 2021 on the Task Force for the Acceleration of Socialization of Law Number 11 of 2020 on Job Creation, is hereby dissolved," reads Article 1 of Presidential Decree 32 of 2024, as quoted on Saturday (Nov 9).

With the dissolution of the Job Creation Law Socialization Task Force, Presidential Decree Number 10 of 2021, as amended by Presidential Decree Number 16 of 2022, is repealed and declared no longer in effect.
"This Presidential Decree comes into force on the date of its enactment," states Article 3 of Presidential Decree 32 of 2024.
Presidential Decree 32 of 2024 was signed by Prabowo on November 8, 2024. The considerations section of this decree mentions that the Job Creation Law has been effectively implemented to encourage economic growth and job creation.
It is also stated that the Job Creation Law Socialization Task Force was dissolved to improve the efficiency of governmental affairs.
"To enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of governmental affairs, it is necessary to dissolve the Task Force for the Acceleration of Socialization of Law Number 11 of 2020 on Job Creation," states the considerations section of Presidential Decree 32 of 2024.
