KRL Operates 24 Hours on New Year's Eve

Jakarta, VIVA – The Commuter Line (KRL) will operate 24 hours on New Year’s Eve 2025, with the number of trips predicted to increase to 1,114 from the usual 1,048 trips on regular days.

“The usual number of Commuter Line trips is 1,048, but it will increase to 1,114 on New Year’s Eve 2025,” said KAI Commuter Public Relations Manager, Leza Arlan, in Jakarta on Friday.

Arlan mentioned that all KAI Commuter Line routes will operate continuously for 24 hours on New Year’s Eve 2025.

“All Commuter Line routes will be in operation, not just the Bogor-Jakarta line,” he said.

Additionally, the company will provide several new facilities, such as water dispensers, portable toilets, waiting chairs, and charging booths for phones and laptops at select stations during New Year’s Eve 2025.

“These facilities will only be available at certain stations, based on the number of users at each station,” he remarked.

As for ticket fares, they will remain the same as on regular days, IDR 3,000 for the first 25 kilometers and an additional IDR 1,000 for every subsequent 10 kilometers.

“The fares will remain normal for New Year’s Eve 2025,” he added.
