Prabowo Calls for Transparent and Effective Zakat Management

Jakarta, VIVA – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, has reminded the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) to ensure that zakat management is carried out transparently and effectively. He cited his administration as an example of transparency.
Prabowo made this statement while handing over his zakat payment to BAZNAS at the State Palace in Central Jakarta on Thursday (March 27).Â
"Zakat management must be conducted transparently and effectively, just as all government work must be transparent, effective, and reach those in need. It must be carried out with the utmost cleanliness and orderliness," the head of state said.

Furthermore, Prabowo expressed his appreciation for BAZNAS' performance, recognizing its continuous presence in assisting communities in difficult situations.
"The work of BAZNAS is highly respected. BAZNAS is always present in challenging areas. Thank you, BAZNAS. Let us work and strive to strengthen our BAZNAS in several sectors," the president remarked.
Therefore, President Prabowo has instructed ministries and government agencies to distribute their zakat through BAZNAS.
"Ministers and officials in relevant ministries and agencies should consider ways to channel more resources to strengthen BAZNAS," he stated.
