Jakarta, VIVA – The Director of Foreign Hajj Services at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Muchlis Hanafi, revealed that this year the Indonesian government has prepared 300 hotels to accommodate Hajj pilgrims during their stay in Saudi Arabia.
"A total of 205 hotels are in Mecca and 95 hotels in Medina. This number is sufficient to serve 203,320 regular Hajj pilgrims," Hanafi said on Monday (May 5).

In Mecca, he explained, all hotels are located within a maximum radius of 4.5 kilometers from the Grand Mosque.
To support pilgrims' mobility to and from the Grand Mosque, the government provides shuttle bus services.
Meanwhile, in Medina, all hotels are located in the Markaziyah area, the closest zone to the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid an-Nabawi).
Hanafi urged all Indonesian Hajj pilgrims to keep the complete address of their accommodation, both in Medina and Mecca.
"This step is important to avoid confusion and to ease identification in case pilgrims get separated from their group," he concluded.
