MRT Jakarta Breaks Passenger Records on Coldplay Concert

Jakarta – The Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) of Jakarta reported a surge in the number of its users during Coldplay concert on Wednesday, at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium. 

"On Wednesday (during Coldplay concert), MRT Jakarta recorded a new history by successfully transporting 163,162 passengers in one day," wrote a statement in a @MRTJkt official Instagram account. 

"This figure is the highest number of passengers during the MRT Jakarta operations since 2019," it added. 

The number increased from the previous month with a daily average of 67,161 passengers, making it the latest achievement for MRT Jakarta.

The MRT Jakarta management explained that the achievement wasn't apart from the collaboration of many parties. 

"From the people who trust MRT Jakarta, the provincial Government of DKI Jakarta through Relationship Service which supported the title Coldplay concert by extending the operational time to 1.30 AM," the MRT Management remarked.

"Also, all the people of MRT Jakarta wjo are in charge of providing their best service to society," it added.

The extension of the operational hours has been carried out several times by MRT Jakarta in order to help the mobility of citizens in attending events held around Jakarta MRT Station.

MRT management believes that public transportation can also be reliable to mobilize safely and comfortably by the community at large events nationwide to international level.
