Police Investigate Jakarta Suicidal Family's Debt Records

Jakarta – The North Jakarta Police are still investigating the one family case of four who suicide by jumping from the Teluk Intan Topas Tower Apartment in the Penjaringan area of North Jakarta.
North Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Gidion Arif Setyawan said they haven't yet concluded that the cause of this case was because online loan problems.
"We cannot confirm that far because the team is still working," Setyawan said on Wednesday.

Setyawan added that they are still examining several witnesses and completing the investigation materials.
"Witnesses from the scene to the family of the victims are still inconclusive,"
Police are also awaiting the results of DNA forensic examinations, psychological autopsies, and digital forensic examinations.
In addition, the North Jakarta Metro Police Inafis Team has re-conducted the crime scene investigation to shed light on the case.
"We ensured the crime scene was investigated, what might be assumptions and linked to the available facts," he remarked.
Meanwhile, the Metro Penjaringan Police Chief, Commissioner Agus Ady Wijaya, said the results of the investigation revealed that the victims had prepared themselves for suicide at the Teluk Intan Topas Tower Apartment in Penjaringan.
"The preparation was evident from their movements on CCTV before committing suicide," Wijaya informed.
Wijaya also explained that from the CCTV footage, the four victims, who were a family consisting of a man with the initials AE and his wife AIL, as well as their two children, a boy with the initials JWA (13) and a girl JL (16).
The victims arrived at the Teluk Intan Apartment around 4:20 p.m. using a Grandmax. They entered the lobby and headed straight to the elevator.
It was observed that in the elevator, AE kissed his wife AIL on the forehead as she collected all the victims' mobile phones into her bag.
After exiting the elevator, they took the emergency stairs and reached the rooftop before jumping from the top.
"From their movements, we concluded that this was a pre-planned suicide," he concluded.
