UAE Supports Indonesia to Become Host of the U-20 World Cup

UAE – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) supports Indonesia to host the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2027. This was stated by Education Minister of UAE, Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi when met Indonesian Minister of Youth and Sports, Dito Ariotedjo on Wesnesday.

"The UAE is pleased to support Indonesia's candidacy for the U-20 World Cup in 2027," said Minister Ahmad Belhoul in Abu Dhabi.

As known, the U-20 World Cup is held every two years. In 2025, the match will be held in Chile.  Actually in 2023, Indonesia was appointed to host the U-20 World Cup.

However, FIFA canceled and appointed Argentina as the host. Meanwhile, Minister Ariotedjo hopes that Indonesia can become one of the hosts of the U-20 World Cup.

"Hopefully our goal of hosting the U-20 World Cup can be realized. In terms of infrastructure, of course we are ready because we are almost the host in 2023," the Minister remarked.

Minister Ariotedjo invited the public to pray together. He knows that the Indonesian people want Indonesia to host the U-20 World Cup. 

"I invite all Indonesian people to pray that this good intention will soon be realized and we will host the U-20 World Cup in 2027," he concluded.
