Indonesia to Host Gymnastics World Championship

Jakarta – Indonesia has won the vote to host the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships. The event will be held next year.

Indonesia was chosen as the host of the Gymnastics World Championships based on the voting results of the Executive Committee of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG).  

“The FIG Executive Committee has approved the allocation of the 53rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championship to the Executive Board of the Indonesian Gymnastics Association (PB Persani). This event will be held in the city of Jakarta on October 19-25, 2025,” said an official FIG statement signed by FIG Secretary General, Nicolas Buompane.

Welcoming this trust, Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo said that Indonesia will be a good host. 

“Alhamdulillah, the trust of the international world has again been given to Indonesia. Please pray and support,” Minister Ariotedjo said on Friday.

“This is proud, historical because Indonesia won the voting for the gymnastics world championship. Indonesia will host the 53^rd Gymnastics World Championships in history,” he concluded.
