Prabowo, SBY, and Jokowi Unite at Magelang Retreat for Regional Leaders

Magelang, VIVA – President Prabowo Subianto expressed his pride in being accompanied by Indonesia’s 6th President, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), and the 7th President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), at the regional leaders' retreat held at the Military Academy in Magelang, Central Java, on Thursday (Feb 27).

"I feel incredibly proud to be joined by two former presidents at this evening parade in the Military Academy," the head of state said.

He also praised SBY and Jokowi for their 10 years of leadership each, acknowledging their dedication to Indonesia. Prabowo expressed gratitude for their service to the people.

"With 10 years of experience each, we now have two presidents here who collectively have 20 years of experience leading this nation. And, of course, we are grateful for all the dedication and service of every president before me," the president stated.

Prabowo also thanked SBY and Jokowi for their efforts in maintaining Indonesia’s unity.

He emphasized that both leaders had steered the nation well, preventing internal divisions and safeguarding Indonesia from external threats.

"I want to express my gratitude to Mr. SBY and Mr. Jokowi—for 20 years, both of you have led and safeguarded this nation, prevented division, and protected our country from outside interference. When we look at the world today, we should be grateful for having had good leaders who have kept this nation strong and united," he concluded.
