FIFA Inspects Final Preparation of U-20 World Cup Stadiums

VIVA – The International Federation of Football Association (FIFA) has started the final inspection of stadiums in Indonesia hosting the U-20 World Cup, with the process being carried out on March 22-27. Not only FIFA, but the organizing committee (LOC) also accompanied the inspection.

The inspection included 18 FIFA representatives from various departments such as competitions, safety and security, media, and essential departments that support the game, who came and started a thorough inspection of the six host cities.

"FIFA started their final inspection in Jakarta. They check the final preparation of all venues and provide detailed feedback. Their arrival is important because it is a suggestion for us as the host organizer of the U-20 World Cup this year." said Ronny Suhatril, Head of Operation LOC for the U-20 World Cup, as quoted from the official PSSI website on Thursday.

During the inspection, FIFA and the LOC discussed all matters related to operations during the match including determining access, security planning, and all equipment that must be prepared.

Furthermore, FIFA will visit other host cities in sequence, until the inspection ends in Bali while making preparations ahead of the official draw for the U-20 World Cup participants which is planned to be held on March 31, 2023.
