President Prabowo Highlights Improvements in Indonesia’s Election

Jakarta, VIVA – President Prabowo Subianto assessed that the implementation of elections, such as the 2024 simultaneous regional elections, has been running well and has shown significant progress.

If there are any shortcomings, Prabowo urged the Election Supervisory Body to continue conducting evaluations and monitoring, particularly concerning potential fraud.

The Head of State acknowledged that the first-ever simultaneous democratic event held this year has operated under an effective system.

However, President Prabowo emphasized that any deficiencies must remain a focus for election supervisors.

This statement was delivered by Prabowo Subianto after casting his vote at Bojongkoneng Village, Bogor, West Java, on Wedneday (Nov 27) voted for the candidates for Bogor Regent-Deputy Regent and West Java Governor-Deputy Governor.

“Election Supervisory Body already has a good system; the system has been implemented, and we have carried out elections repeatedly. This is not the first time; we’ve had several elections before. Admittedly, there are always positives and negatives, and we aim to improve everything,” he said.

Furthermore, the President expressed optimism that the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections, held across 37 provinces, 415 regencies, and 93 cities, would run smoothly and successfully.

"Everything is going well, smoothly, and in order. It’s up to the people to choose the best leaders. Everything is good," he remarked.
