Jakarta, VIVA – The Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Anindya Novyan Bakrie, announced that Kadin Indonesia will make a visit to the United States from May 1 to 3, 2025.
According to him, the visit will include attending a conference as well as meetings with Kadin’s partners in the United States.
“We at Kadin will be going to the U.S. next week. There's a Bloomberg conference in New York, and afterward, on May 1, 2, and 3, we will meet with our partners, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce,” he said on Wednesday (Apr 23).

Bakrie explained that the United States Chamber of Commerce is similar to Kadin—it is the chamber representing American businesses.
However, Bakrie emphasized that the Kadin visit is not a government-to-government meeting, but a business-to-business engagement between entrepreneurs.
“This gives us the chance to directly understand what the U.S. market needs from Indonesia, and how we can increase our exports,” he said.
The visit will also evaluate which products or commodities can be further developed for business cooperation between Indonesian and U.S. businesses.
“And vice versa, we’ll explore what products they want to collaborate on more deeply—like soybeans, rice, wheat, and also cotton. Those are things we can supply, along with dairy and meat products,” Bakrie added.
The announcement about the visit was made following Anindya's meeting with several Indonesian entrepreneurs, particularly from the textile sector, as well as representatives from Cotton USA in South Jakarta on Wednesday (Apr 23).
