President Jokowi Aims for Nearly IDR 3 Trillion in State Revenue by 2025

Jakarta, VIVA – Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stated that the state revenue for 2025 is targeted at IDR 2,996.9 trillion, an increase compared to the previous year’s target of IDR 2,802.29 trillion.

The head of state said that from this revenue, tax receipts are projected to amount to IDR 2,490.9 trillion, while Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) is expected to reach IDR 505.4 trillion.

"State revenue in 2025 is designed to reach IDR 2,996.9 trillion," said Jokowi in his Presidential Address on the 2025 State Budget Bill and its Financial Notes at the Parliament Complex in Jakarta, on Friday.

The President emphasized that this revenue target will maintain a favorable investment climate, environmental sustainability, and the affordability of public services.

Additionally, the government will continue tax reforms, including efforts to increase taxpayer compliance and improve governance.

"Tax reforms will continue through the expansion of the tax base and improvement of taxpayer compliance, better governance and tax administration, and the provision of targeted and measured tax incentives," the president explained.

Efforts to increase PNBP will be carried out through the use of technology for planning and reporting, strengthening governance and oversight.
