Jokowi to Distribute El Nino Cash Aid until March 2024

Banyumas – The Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that the El Nino direct cash aid (BLT) will be provided to the community, especially for beneficiaries affected by drought until March 2024. 

However, the program will be continued if the state budget is sufficient until June 2024. 

The Head of State provides food assistance for government rice reserves (CBP) at the Bulog Warehouse in Klahang, Banyumas, Central Java on Wednesday. 



"Because this is a special BLT, not everyone gets it, not everyone is selected," President Jokowi said. 

The President further said that the El Nino BLT was given by the Government to help the community in facing price increases due to the long dry season. 

BLT El Nino is given to cover the price increase in the field because of the long drought. 

President Jokowi reminded all of his staff that the CBP food assistance of 10 kilograms for each beneficiary has been distributed until March 2024. 

"The Government will continue this program if the State Budget is sufficient and the budget will be calculated first," the President concluded.
