Jakarta, VIVA – Defense Minister and also Indonesian President-Elect, Prabowo Subianto received an honorary visit from Turkish Defense Minister H.E. Mr. Yasar Güler at the Ministry of Defense office in Jakarta on Thursday (Aug 22).
Prabowo Subianto warmly welcomed the arrival of the Turkish Defense Minister.
"Thank you to Turkish Defense Minister Yasar Güler for his visit to the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia," Subianto remarked.
He stated that Turkiye has become a special partner for Indonesia in defense cooperation.

This partnership is exemplified by the signing of a defense industry cooperation document in 2010, followed by the commencement of the Defense Industry Cooperation Meeting in 2012.
Therefore, he hopes that the bilateral relations between Indonesia and Turkiye in the defense sector will contribute positive things.
Not only to the national interests of both countries but also to regional security stability.
In addition, Subianto also emphasized the importance of knowledge transfer and capacity development, leading to initiatives such as large-scale scholarships for Indonesian students to study in Turkiye, short courses on defense industry programs.
Also, the establishment of Turkish language programs in Indonesian universities.
