Indonesia, France Agree to Support Palestinian Independence Efforts

Jakarta, VIVA – Indonesian President, Prabowo Subianto, and President of France, Emmanuel Macron, have agreed to continue pushing for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict in Palestine.
This was conveyed by President Prabowo following Macron's visit to the Merdeka Palace in Central Jakarta on Wednesday (May 28).
"One of the most important points in my discussion with President Macron was his statement on France's commitment to promoting a peaceful resolution to the Palestinian issue," the Indonesian President said during a press conference.

President Prabowo then noted that France will continue to support efforts for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
"France will persist in urging for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and will advocate for full humanitarian access," he stated.
Additionally, President Prabowo mentioned that Indonesia supports the plan by France and Saudi Arabia to host a high-level summit aimed at promoting resolution and peace in the Middle East region.
