Minister Handed Over 700 Maung MV3 Tactical Vehicles to Indonesian Army-Police

Jakarta, VIVA –Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin handed over 700 units of Maung MV3 special-purpose vehicles, produced by Pindad, to the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the National Police (Polri) as operational vehicles based on locally manufactured products.
The handover ceremony took place at Husein Sastranegara Air Base in Bandung, West Java, on Saturday.
Minister Sjamsoeddin stated that this event marked a historic milestone, as it demonstrated the successful utilization of domestically produced defense industry products.

He also emphasized that the total planned production of these vehicles is approximately 4,000 units, but deliveries will be carried out in phases according to production capacity.
Of the 700 vehicles delivered, 50 units were allocated to the Army Headquarters, 400 units to the Army, 100 units to the Navy, 100 units to the Air Force, and 50 units to the National Police.
The minister highlighted that this handover signifies the rise of the national defense industry, supporting the country's ability to maintain national stability.
He affirmed the government's commitment to consistently providing operational support for the nation's guardians, the Army and police.
Additionally, he noted that these hundreds of Maung MV3 units will be continuously deployed and utilized by personnel across the entire archipelago.
