Minister Yassierli Ensures Ex-Sritex Workers Receive Their Rights

Sukoharjo, VIVA – Labor Minister Yassierli has assured that the rights of workers affected by the bankruptcy of Sritex Group will be fulfilled. He made this statement after visiting Sri Rejeki Isman (Sritex) in Sukoharjo, Central Java.

He also confirmed that the entire process has been running smoothly and orderly, thanks to the cooperation of various parties, including the Workers' Union and Labor Union (SP/SB).

"I appreciate the active role of labor unions and all related parties in handling the impact of this mass layoff," Yassierli said in a statement on Monday (March 17).

He credited the swift resolution to strategic collaboration between the central and local governments, BPJS (Indonesia's social security agency), the Curator Team, and labor unions.

As a result, the disbursement of Old Age Security (JHT), Job Loss Insurance (JKP), and post-layoff Health Insurance for former Sritex Group employees is now nearly 100% complete.

Since the Curator Team announced the layoffs on February 26, 2025, the government has been actively working to find solutions for the affected workers.

As former Sritex Group employees have signed new employment contracts with an investor interested in continuing the company’s business operations.

"I welcome the Curator Team’s efforts to attract investors to revive the company's operations. This not only has a positive impact on business continuity but also provides new job opportunities for former Sritex Group employees," said the Minister.

"The government will continue to oversee this process to ensure that all workers' rights are met and that they can return to work under better conditions," he added.

Yassierli berharap pelatihan Hubungan Industrial Pancasila (HIP) akan bisa menjembatani komunikasi antara pekerja, pengusaha, dan pemerintah (tripartit).
