Anindya Bakrie: IKN Nusantara as the Future Green Silicon Valley

Jakarta – Bakrie & Brother Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Anindya Novyan Bakrie said that the National Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN Nusantara) can become Green Silicon Valley, a clean technology and energy destination in the 21st century.

Earlier, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that the IKN Nusantara wasn't just a building. But also a change in mindset, way of thinking, lifestyle and civilization.

"This all started with President Jokowi's dream and idea. This IKN can become the Green Silicon Valley,” Bakrie said at IKN Nusantara, Kalimantan, Wednesday (June 5).

Bakrie added that IKN Nusantara has an area five times larger than Silicon Valley. Therefore, according him, it’s a normal if IKN uses a green concept.

"So, if Silicon Valley leads to 20^th century technology. Here it leads to the 21^st century. Here, we're heading to the 21st century,” he said.

Furthermore, Bakrie also said that today it is not only growth that will bring prosperity to the wider community, but also justice and sustainability.
