Kadin Launched NTT Moringa Exports to Global Market

East Nusa Tenggara, VIVA – The Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Anindya Bakrie, made a working visit to Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), on Monday (Apr 21).

During the visit, Anindya officially flagged off the export of NTT’s top moringa products from local MSME La Moringa, which have now entered the global market.

NTT’s moringa products are now being exported to several countries including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Singapore, and Timor Leste.

The five flagship products from La Moringa include moringa tea, moringa powder, moringa biscuits, sorghum biscuits, and moringa chocolate.



“This is a breakthrough for NTT’s MSMEs. We need to keep developing it by boosting moringa-based production,” Bakrie stated.

He added that this success is a major step for NTT’s MSMEs to compete in global markets. He also stated that Kadin Indonesia would continue supporting export market expansion, including looking for opportunities in the United States and Asian countries like South Korea, China, and Japan.

Meanwhile, La Moringa’s Corporate Marketing Representative, Melani, said that their five main products have successfully reached international markets.

“There are five top La Moringa export products from NTT that have gone global,” Melani stated.

Among the five, two products — moringa tea and moringa powder — have seen significant increases in demand. Melani also mentioned that with the growing global demand, there is a need to boost the supply of raw moringa leaves from local farmers in NTT.
