Cabinet Reshuffle Can Happen Anytime at President Prabowo’s Authority

Jakarta, VIVA – The Presidential Palace, through the Head of the Presidential Communications Office Hasan Nasbi, stated that President Prabowo Subianto may  reshuffle his Red and White Cabinet (KMP).

The head of state is said to be conducting a comprehensive evaluation before making any cabinet changes.

Nasbi then explained that the President will objectively assess each minister by reviewing both their strengths and weaknesses.

“What are the strengths? What are the weaknesses? Are they still needed or not? Can they still be retained or not? The President surely has a more complete assessment,” Nasbi stated on Tuesday (June 3).



However, Nasbi couldn’t confirm when President Prabowo might reshuffle his ministers. He emphasized that such a decision is entirely at the President’s discretion, as part of his constitutional prerogative.

“Will there be one? Yes, a reshuffle is always a possibility. But when it happens, and who might be affected, that is fully up to the President,” he remarked.

Nasbi also acknowledged that cabinet reshuffle rumors are a never-ending topic. He clarified that most information circulating about changes in ministerial or institutional leadership is speculative.

He stated that President Prabowo can carry out a reshuffle at any time, but until it's officially announced, nothing is confirmed.

“A reshuffle can happen whenever the President wants. But as long as it hasn’t been announced by the President himself, it hasn’t happened,” Nasbi concluded.
